FinHope is committed to creating a financially literate generation equipped to make informed decision, invest wisely, and foster social enterpreneurship.
"FinHope" is a youth-led nonprofit organization founded by Alicia Caitlyn Susanto, a high school student from Indonesia, with a vision to address the lack of financial literacy among young Indonesians. FinHope is committed to creating a financially literate generation equipped to make informed decisions, invest wisely, and foster social entrepreneurship. With a focus on practical, engaging, and impactful initiatives, FinHope aims to empower youth and their communities to achieve financial independence and social impact
To foster a financially literate and socially responsible generation of Indonesians who can use financial knowledge to transform their lives and communities.
To educate: Empower young Indonesians with financial knowledge, focusing on investments and wealth management.
To inspire: Promote social entrepreneurship as a pathway to community development.
To impact: Create measurable, sustainable change by linking financial literacy to social good.
Alicia Caitlyn Susanto is the founder of FinHopeID, a nonprofit organization focused on improving financial literacy among young people. A senior student at Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS), Alicia started FinHopeID to help empower Indonesian youth with basic financial education. Her goal is to give young people the knowledge and tools that they need to become financially literate persons in order to make informed decisions for a better future.
In addition to her work with FinHopeID, Alicia is also active in charity works, particularly with orphanages and people with down syndrome. She teaches them basic financial skills that can help generate income and better integrate into society. Through these initiatives, Alicia’s mission is to promote inclusivity and financial empowerment.
Alicia has been organizing various seminars and workshops to teach basic financial skills like budgeting, saving, and investing. She is committed to make a positive impact on the youth community while inspiring others to do the same.
Alicia also has deep interest in cultures and sociology. She loves capturing different cultures through travels to various parts of Indonesia, such as Yogyakarta, Sumba, and Labuan Bajo, to learn about their cultures and find ways to improve their living conditions. In her free time, she enjoys skiing and spending time outdoors. She has been also travelled to many foreign countries like Japan, New Zealand, and Switzerland to broaden her global perspective.
Through FinHopeID, Alicia hopes to attract more volunteers and supporters to expand financial literacy programs and help more young Indonesian people secure their financial futures. She believes that teaching the right financial skills to the Indonesian young generation is key not just to their personal growth but also to the development of their communities. As she truly believes, “Smart Finances, Better Futures.”

WHAT THEY GOT FROM FINHOPE?
“The FinHope presentation was very interactive and enjoyable. I learned the fundamentals of investment, and by the end I was able to clearly distinguish between wants and needs. I was also taught about the risks and benefits of investing.”
“My impression of FinHope is that I was able to learn so much about the importance of managing money, especially at this age. It is very important, since many of us often spend impulsively just out of temptation. From this program, I learned how to manage my money better—for example, by saving regularly and making the most of discounts or promotions.”
“Honestly, I am the type of person who is frugal with myself but generous toward others. Today I was not only reminded of the importance of saving, but also encouraged to start investing early, because it is something truly essential.”
“I realized that saving can start with a small amount. From now on, I will begin saving step by step.”
“I realized how important it is to manage money, and this presentation has inspired me to study investment further.”
“Through this activity, I gained a clearer picture of how I can manage my finances in the future. The presentation was delivered in a very motivating way.”
